The Company presently has a staff complement of three full-time employees and two subcontractors who work on an exclusive basis for Currie Communications. The owner of the company, Joan Currie, has over 36 years of experience in event management, professional services marketing, communications, sponsorship, and public relations. Prior to forming Currie Communications, Joan Currie was Director of Development for Edmonton Opera and Director of Marketing for Deloitte & Touche, chartered accountants (now Deloittes). In 2014, Joan was nominated by the Royal Bank of Canada for their prestigious “Entrepreneur of the Year” Award.
